The acrobats from Don Bosco CALM had a show at Munyonyo Catholic parish yesterday where there was opening of the new parish by his grace Dr Cyprian kizito Lwanga the Arch Bishop of Kampala .These boys did wonders of the first of the kind ever since they began their training as the acrobats, this left them convinced that its through practice and effort that one can achieve his dreams .this involved what is known acrobatic sanitation, gymnastic, yoga, circle, jangling, fake fighting, pyramid and then fire circle. This left the crowd wondering, and even the little faith or belief that they had was taken away the miracles and wonder that these boys performed.

At CALM Hygiene is targeted as one of the goals the organization has to achieve progressively. Children are taught to care for and respect the environment as well as they clean themselves. Being at the service of the vulnerable children at CALM, Salesians strive to offer them safe and conducive conditions for their holistic growth. Don Bosco highlights this through the three main pillars for educating the young diligently and successfully.
Nurse Claire Kwagala, happy to serve at CALM
Last Sunday we received a new female nurse who will be helping in treating our boys. She has come purposely to stay and reside within the community of CALM. Interviewing her on what she is expecting to do as a nurse of the community, she said” Iam ready to work hard, hand in hand with all the members of the community regardless of the age ,color size and nation and I also promise to see that the health status of the boys is up to date ,and there will be no more mosquitoes which will consume our boys and spread malaria to them ." she also promised to treat the boys that even if they spend a week without eating food, the boys will stay and remain strong without falling sick hahahah. It’s so so amazing to hear that from her and she has liked and loved to work with the Salesians .She said "I used to hear of the Salesian congregation and their charism but I had not got a chance of staying and working with them but finally here Iam on the ground with them what a chance !!!!."

At Don Bosco Children and Life Mission (CALM) we have a new modernized piggery which can accommodate up to 100 pigs. Already 50 rooms are available. Good conditions including water and electricity are provided in the new piggery. Until now, all the pigs are smartly cared for. No complaints at all. Their cleanliness is incomparable due to the fact that our pigs take shower obligatorily thrice a day. All the pigs, from big to the small ones have ear tags in view of their easy identification. Our pigs are now naughty because they make noise all the time despite the new building they are enjoying.
As per the school calendar in Uganda under the ministry of education and sports, all primary and secondary schools got their second term holiday on 2nd /9/2016. Given the fact that we have boys at those levels, the program did not leave them aside. They are now at the Centre for their second term holiday which will end on 25th/9/2016.
