In the unity with the multitude of the youth that gathered around the holy Father, Pope Francis in Poland, to celebrate the world youth day, the Salesian youth ministry in Uganda headed by Rev. Fr. Philip, organized for the gathering of the youth from the Salesian communities of Kamuli, Namugongo and Bombo, in which over 350 participants turned up.
The gathering took place at Namugongo-CALM from the 30th to 31st/07/2016. The event was characterized by a number of spiritual activities that is: penitential service, the sacrament of reconciliation, Holy Rosary and candle light procession, praise and worship, the Holy Eucharist and finally some entertainments. Reverend father Moses animated many of these activities mentioned above.
The registration and allocation of the rooms for the participants was done by Namugongo community, Fr. Moses Wanjala sdb was in charge of liturgy, Rev. Fr. Elie and Mrs Edith were for praise and Worship, the good night talk was given by Rev.Fr. John Mary-the rector of Namugongo, Kamuli choir led the mass, entertainments were for all the communities and Rev. Fr. Callixte closed the ceremony.
Let us all be for the poor and abandoned youth as Don Bosco was.
