O God, we thank you for giving us another year 2016 of life. We thank you for all the people who have remembered us today, and who have sent us cards, letters good wishes, e-mail and presents. We thank you for everything, which we have been enable by you to do and to be in the past year 2015.
We thank you for all the experiences of the past year 2015. For the times of the success which will always be happy memories; for times of failure which reminded us of our own weakness and of our need of you; for times of joy when the sun was shining; for times of sorrow which drove us to you.
Forgive us for the hours we have wasted; for the chances we failed to take; for the opportunities we missed in the past 2015. Forgive us that we have not made of life all that I might have of it and could have made of it; and help us in the days which lie ahead to make this best year yet, and in it to bring credit to ourselves, happiness to our loved ones and joy to you. This prayer we ask of you through Christ our Lord.
